KA’ANAPALI ROYAL OVERVIEW 

The COMPLEX: Ka’anapali Royal is one of Maui’s best kept secrets. This gated community is comprised of 105 privately owned condominiums situated on over seven acres of lush landscaping. The property has two lighted tennis courts, a large pool and spa, gas barbecues, and ample parking. 

The LOCATION: Ka’anapali Royal is located directly behind Whalers Village in the middle of the Ka’anapali Resort. It offers seclusion, as well as easy access to beautiful white-sand Ka’anapali Beach, two golf courses, and Whalers Village which is renowned for its excellent shopping and restaurants. It is just minutes from historic Old Lahaina Town. Our condo overlooks the 16th fairway of the Royal Ka’anapali North Course. 

The OCEAN: The condo fronts the golf course. Access to the beach is a leisurely 5 minute stroll across the fairway (approximately 200 yards). Voted Best Beach in America in 2003, Ka’anapali Beach offers excellent swimming, snorkeling, diving, surfing, sailing, parasailing, jet skiing, and whale watching between December and March.

CONDO FEATURES: The condo is spacious at 1840 square feet. It is a split-level unit that has two bedrooms, two baths, a large living room, a fully stocked kitchen, a separate dining area, and a large private lanai with a wet bar. The living room sofa opens into a queen-size bed. It sleeps 4-6. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a king-size bed, a 25 inch television, a DVD/VHS player, and an expanded sitting area. The second bedroom is downstairs and has two twin beds. The condo has central air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable television, a stereo with a CD player, a 35-inch television, a DVD/VCR, linens, towels, an electric barbecue, and a washer and dryer. It is a non-smoking unit that comes fully furnished with everything but the suntan! 

Please note: The condo is on the third floor. There are steps leading to the front door as well as stairs leading to the master bedroom. There are no elevators.

How do we get to the condo? 

Ka’anapali Royal is located at 2560 Kekaa Drive on the West side of Maui. From Kahului Airport, take Highway 380 (Dairy Road) to Highway 30 West (Honoapiilani Highway) and exit at Ka’anapali Parkway. On Ka’anapali Parkway, turn right on Kekaa Drive and go up the hill. Ka’anapali Royal is on your right as you proceed up the hill. Turn right at the top of the hill. The entrance to Ka’anapali Royal is the second driveway on the right. The driving time is about 45 minutes. Kahului Airport is served from many mainland cities and receives numerous flights daily from Honolulu. All major car rental companies have locations at the airport. 

Are there restaurants at Ka’anapali Royal? 

There are no restaurants at Ka’anapali Royal. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen and a barbecue. There are several restaurants and a food court in Whalers Village which is located directly in front of the condo. 

Can you recommend any good, affordable restaurants? 

The top drawer in the dining room credenza contains a number of restaurant menus from many of the restaurants we enjoy. 

Is there a pool? 

Yes, Ka’anapali Royal has a large pool and spa. 

Do you provide towels and linens? 

We provide beach towels, bath towels, linens, soap, paper products, and dish soap for your convenience. 

Does the condo have air conditioning? 

The condo has central air conditioning as well as ceiling fans in the living room and the master bedroom. 

Where would we find the most affordable grocery store? 

There are two grocery stores nearby. The STAR Market is just up the highway, and Safeway is in Lahaina. I recommend stopping at Costco in Kahului if you are a member. They generally have the lower prices on meat, produce, and alcohol. The grocery store selections and prices vary. Both run weekly specials. Prices on Maui are higher than on the mainland because most items arrive by ship.

What do you charge? 

We charge reasonable nightly rates which vary by season and Hawaiian taxes of 11.419%. We collect a refundable $500 security deposit which is returned to you based upon a satisfactory report from our cleaning staff. 

Ka’anapali Royal charges for telephone calls and requires a $50 vehicle registration fee at check-in.
